Located in Potts Point, 1 Remedy brings sauna culture into the heart of our home city with a three-step ritual designed to reset body and mind. Guests move through traditional hot rock sauna sessions that reach up to 90°C — clean, dry heat that encourages deep sweating and mental clarity — before taking the leap into a five-metre ice bath sitting at a brisk 8°C.
The contrast is invigorating: a 1–2 minute plunge for beginners, or 3–5 minutes for seasoned regulars. Between rounds, guests settle into the Reset Lounge — a space for slowing the breath, rehydrating with Remedy drinks, and shifting deliberately between heat and cold. A full 90-minute circuit leaves you revived, alert and almost weightless.
Capybara Bathing
In Surry Hills, a stone’s throw from Central Station, Capybara Bathing brings communal bathing into a beautifully modern context. Numbers are limited to maintain spaciousness, and guests move between three primary rituals: a 38°C mineral bath for quiet repose, a bracing cold plunge for mood and muscle relief, and a steam room where thick mist softens joints, nerves and breath.
A traditional cedar sauna reaches 90°C, infusing the room with aromatic heat, while the lounge becomes a gentle gathering place for tea, conversation and slow unwinding. Capybara’s ethos is simple: to create a space where community and care coexist.
Sona Rooms
For those who prefer solitude, Sona Rooms in Prahran, Victoria offers private infrared and traditional sauna suites where restoration unfolds without interruption. Every room is designed for privacy — a retreat where you can take your time cycling between heat, cold plunge and rest.

Nimbus Co

With outposts in Sydney’s Glebe, Balmain and Newtown, Nature’s Energy offers some of the most comprehensive bathhouse experiences in the country — with access to all facilities included. Traditional Finnish saunas, infrared saunas, eucalyptus steam rooms, hot spas, multiple ice baths, pail showers, medical-grade red light therapy and a reflexology zone all sit within the one session.

Formerly Slow House Bondi, 38° The Bathhouse centres itself around its namesake: a 38-degree magnesium pool that sets the emotional tempo of the space.
